My photo
Having a large Scottish heritage that migrated from England into Canada to Maine and other states. I am from a family of 9. Six girls and 3 boys. My dad died young when I was about 8 years old. I have 4 children and 3 step children with the great joy of 20 grandchildren. I worked in financial institutions and accounting for many years. Now I sew and make lots of stuffed animals and many other things. I'm a grandmother that has years of sewing in a wide variety of catagories. Photography has become one of my passions over the years. Nature that God has presented us is one of the greatest to photograph. My family and pets hate to see me with a camera in my hands. The bug took hold at Christmas time taking photos of my children in front of the tree. That became a tradition. Then you have family gatherings, vacations, grandchildren and the list could go on.

Mating Lizards.. Just amazing!!

This was a day of different discoveries. While eating lunch I glanced out the window as I usually do while I eat, an odd movement caught my eye. On the handle of a rake that has been left leaning on the holly hedge were two lizards mating. The female was very small and different in color a sort of gray brown, as the male that was bright green. I was so astonished with what I was seeing that I got my camera and took as many photos as I could though the window. Then I stopped eating and went outside to take more thinking that they would disappear, but they didn't they just maneuvered their bodies around to the back of the handle. So, I went around the decking and took photos of the other side. It didn't seem to bother them at all. It was quite an amazing site to witness. When the mating was finished the female immediately raced down the handle pole. The male seemed to be puffing out his chest and making some sort of production. This is a slide show of the photos I took of the event. It was truly amazing to me.
