My photo
Having a large Scottish heritage that migrated from England into Canada to Maine and other states. I am from a family of 9. Six girls and 3 boys. My dad died young when I was about 8 years old. I have 4 children and 3 step children with the great joy of 20 grandchildren. I worked in financial institutions and accounting for many years. Now I sew and make lots of stuffed animals and many other things. I'm a grandmother that has years of sewing in a wide variety of catagories. Photography has become one of my passions over the years. Nature that God has presented us is one of the greatest to photograph. My family and pets hate to see me with a camera in my hands. The bug took hold at Christmas time taking photos of my children in front of the tree. That became a tradition. Then you have family gatherings, vacations, grandchildren and the list could go on.

Halloween night October 2010 within our community

Halloween gets a bit crazy in our neighborhood. We have car loads of children come in from other neighborhoods. The entrances are lined on both sides with cars. It gets overwhelming trying to get to your own house through the milling people in the streets. Some feel it is their right to stay stringed across the street until they feel like letting you by. We are a community of less than 300 homes. I'm not a Halloween person so I have to admit it irritates me. We have left our home and gone into town for the past few years. Even our cats go into hiding.

I go around before hand and take photos of the fall displays and halloween displays. The slide show above are just a few. The photo with the tomb stones and scarier things had a recording of a chain saw or something inside their mail box you could hear it streets away! They do it up big time each year. I don't take photos at night so was unable to get anything good. So will have to work on night photos.
