Home made slow cooked chicken stew is a great meal for a cold windy day. So that is just what I made today for supper ( probably for the rest of the week as well). Our weather has been exceptionally cold this year, with this week being extremely so with temperatures we haven't had in decades here. Even my outside loving cats don't want to be out in this cold.
Stews are one of our most favorite meals that just get better with each passing day. The flavors soak up into the vegetables and make them hmmm hmmm good. I'm one of those old fashion people that put just about anything into it except maybe the kitchen sink. This one has onions, garlic(huge one), sweet potato, carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash, broccoli, cauliflower, and two huge chicken breast cubed up small. This is all cooked in a slow cooker. I use Mrs Dash chicken spice, her original spice, pepper mill, adobo all purpose seasoning, and seasoning salt. This time I didn't burn anything like I did my beef stew the last time. We ate it anyway and it was delicious.
Welcome to my world of creating! I love to make all sorts of stuffed animals. My creations have branched in many different directions. Making items from your memory fabric, old dress, childs outgrown favorites, dads old shirts, you name it. Many thing come to mind.

I have 4 children and 3 step children with the great joy of 20 grandchildren. I worked in financial institutions and accounting for many years. Now I sew and make lots of stuffed animals and many other things. I'm a grandmother that has years of sewing in a wide variety of catagories. Photography has become one of my passions over the years. Nature that God has presented us is one of the greatest to photograph. My family and pets hate to see me with a camera in my hands. The bug took hold at Christmas time taking photos of my children in front of the tree. That became a tradition. Then you have family gatherings, vacations, grandchildren and the list could go on.
